In 1926 Residents J.A. Barnes ,Minnie May Barnes and Cordin Barnes .Expressed thoughts toward God and friends.They made these thoughts a reality by legally deeding a sizeable piece of property in Moultrie to the Ancient City Baptist church.That church although unable to use the property at once.Erected on the hill a very visiable sign saying.Future site of Moultrie baptist mission sponsored by Ancient City Baptist church. By the early 1970's.The Baptist residents in Moultrie and the Saint Aurgustine Shores felt a real need for a church in that area.In the spring of 1980.Mr Jeff Brown,seminary seeking summer extension work,was sponsored by Calvary Baptist to make a survey of Baptist intrests in The Saint Augustine Shores.and ultimately he invited all residents to a mission service at 10:am on August 10,1980in the card room of the Saint Augustine Shores Riverview club.The frist service was led by Mr .jeff Brown and Theresa Franklin provied the music.Second service was led by Rev.Carl Franklin and the third and many others after that were led by Rev. Armando Silverilo..
